My name is Phil Maddocks. I began sawmilling with my father almost 20 years ago. Once he retired, I started my own sawmilling business which has been going for more than 10 years.
I log all the trees myself and then cut them to requirement with my portable Lucas Sawmill.
I can cut sizes and lengths of up to 500x250mm wide and 6.5metres in length (my maximum width and length).
All my Cypress Macrocarpa structural timber is graded to F7 or better.
I have supplied many owner builders over the years and even built my own house using Cypress Macrocarpa very recently.
I also supply cypress sleepers to local nurseries, garden centres and the public.
I love Cypress Macrocarpa, and having cut and sawn it for most of my life, I know everything about it.
